{About Me}
With twelve years in post-secondary education in roles as Professor, Program Coordinator, Course Developer and Project Manager, along with extensive experience developing courses for online, in-person, and hybrid environments, I utilize a range of skills to create innovative learning experiences. I am dedicated to working with teams and SME's, to develop engaging curriculum that aligns with the learning outcomes.
I have a deep passion for embedding EDI principles into the learning environment. Integrating EDI principles into our workplace and educational community, will foster an environment where everyone can contribute, thrive, and feel valued. I have a solid understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) and how to meet AODA standards. It is imperative to begin the design process with accessibility in mind to provide an inclusive experience for everyone.
Universal Design for Learning forms the basis for my course design to meet the needs of a diversity of learners. Incorporating research-based pedagogical approaches and adult learning theories enable me to create inclusive educational solutions.
